This involves Year 5 and 6 students from visiting Atwell, Harmony, Jandakot, Success and Aubin Grove Primary Schools travelling to Atwell College to participate in a number of team sports. The Atwell College students also engage in community sporting support with the hosting and officiating of the annual Jandakot Primary Schools Summer Sports Carnival. Other sporting opportunities are available for access through the Outdoor Education program which involves exposure to areas such as snorkelling, hiking, canoeing, sailing and caving. The Atwell community has a strong connection to sport and this is reflected in the activities of the College.Īlong with the regular curricular sports programming, a number of training squads are active at other school times in preparation for representation of the College in inter-school AFL, Rugby, Soccer, Cricket, Basketball, Netball and Volleyball. Workshops based around all elements of carnival are run by professional artists, and delivered through our partner community groups and art organisations, so there are plenty of ways to get involved in the carnival programme.
